What is Affidavit of Support?
The Affidavit of Support Guarantee is a letter of containing personal details of sponsor indicating the relationship with traveler which is issued by the Philippine Embassy or Consulate in Dubai or in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. It is a proof that a relative in the UAE is responsible to take care whoever comes from Philippines to Dubai on either Visit or Tourist Visa.
All Filipino citizens/national has to carry original copy of Affidavit Support (Red Ribbon) when they are traveling from Philippines to Dubai; without red ribbon they might be offloaded at the Airport. This new rule was effectively applied on Sep 2010 to control human trafficking by Philippine Government.
To get the Affidavit support you may need to present the following documents:
- Passport Copies (Guarantor and Traveler)
- Salary Certificate, Signed and stamped on company letter head.
- Copy of the trade license of the travel agency or the company facilitating the tourist visa.
- Copy of the Tourist Visa
- Accommodation details of Hotel/Residence in UAE.
